Marking the end of ‘The 15 days of Miracles’
The Day of Miracles is the culmination of the The Fifteen Days of Miracles— which began on the first day of the Tibetan New Year, Losar (Feb 10) and which commemorate the special time when Guru Shakyamuni Buddha showed miraculous powers in order to subdue six tirthikas (non-Buddhist teachers) who lacked faith in him, and to inspire more faith in his followers.
The merits of virtuous actions on this day are multiplied many million times over.
